Experience the Unique Flavors of Puglia – Pasta Making with Dora & Antonio

The Italian cuisine is famous worldwide, but the food in Puglia is completely different from the rest of Italy. Here, you won’t find pizza, but instead panzerotti; no penne, but orecchiette! Everything on your plate comes straight from the sun-drenched land of this beautiful region. Food is deeply important in Puglia, it’s how locals express their warm hospitality.

Italian chef Dora and her husband Antonio (who speaks English) will passionately teach you how to make fresh pasta from scratch.


What to Expect

You’ll visit their home in the countryside (campagna) of Ceglie Messapica, just a 20-minute drive from Villa Gufo. Antonio will proudly give you a tour of his vegetable garden, while Dora will show you how to make orecchiette and other traditional pasta shapes.

Once the pasta is ready, Dora will prepare a delicious lunch (or dinner) with it, complete with her freshly made tomato sauce (sugo). Antonio will surprise you with side dishes, all made with fresh ingredients from his garden!

This experience is more than just a cooking class, it’s a true immersion into Puglian culture.
