How to Find Villa Gufo
The only navigation app that accurately finds us is Google Maps. Villa Gufo is located in a contrada (countryside area), where all neighbors share the same address and there are no house numbers.
- DO NOT enter “Contrada La Chiusa” in your GPS, it will not lead you to us.
- Follow the instructions below carefully.
Important Directions
- Coming from Bari or Monopoli?
– ALWAYS take the highway via Ostuni (EXIT Pilone / Rosa Marina).
– DO NOT take the Ostuni / Cisternino exit!

Directions
Coming from Ostuni:
- At the restaurant Il Trullo dell’Angelo, take the left street.
- Drive uphill until you reach a T-junction.
- Turn right.
- Take the first left (look carefully!). You will see some mailboxes and trash bins.
- Drive uphill—Villa Gufo is at the very top.
- At the top, you’ll see a gray door. DO NOT drive up to it.
- Turn right between the bushes and two white pillars.
- You’ll arrive at the large white gate.
If you can’t find it
Try to go to the nearby restaurant Il Trullo dell’Angelo and repeat the steps above.

Mobile Signal & Data in Puglia
Large parts of our region have little to no mobile coverage (zona rossa – red zone).
Before you leave, open Google Maps while you still have signal—the app will continue working even if mobile data is lost.
At Villa Gufo, most Italian providers (WIND, TRE, Vodafone, TIM) have good reception.
During peak season (July & August), the network may be slower due to high demand.
Once you leave Villa Gufo, expect very weak or no signal in the contrada and on the road to Ostuni.
In and around cities, mobile coverage is always good.
